Sometimes You Can Go Home Again

Many studies of electron transfer in solution have focused on dissolved electrons, which represent the simplest system. As Bardeen explains in his Perspective, new results by Martini et al. indicate that under the right conditions, the dynamics of dissolved electrons can not only be characterized but also controlled.
