Sardinia's Mysterious Male Methuselahs

SASSARI, ITALY--More men live past 100 on this Italian island, proportionally, than anywhere else in the world, it appears. Scientists are now trying to explain this perplexing phenomenon. Some experts assume that a healthy, low-stress, agrarian lifestyle is the main reason why Sardinian centenarians have outlived most of their peers; others suspect that genetics underlies the unusual male longevity, which appears to run in families.
