Florida Meeting Shows Perils, Promise of Dealing for Dinos

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA--At a meeting here last week, a nearly complete specimen of an unusually birdlike dinosaur called Bambiraptor feinbergi was unveiled. Also on display was a fossil called Archaeoraptor, which 3 days before the meeting was announced to be a composite containing the remains of at least two different animals. The two fossils show the promise and pitfalls of commercial fossil dealing.
