Primordial Water

Meteorites can provide insights into processes in the early solar system. However, the role played by water can often only be inferred indirectly. Zolensky et al. (page 1377) have discovered fluid inclusions in a recently fallen meteorite, and Brearley (page 1380) infers the transient presence of water on another meteorite. The two studies illustrate the complexity of aqueous alteration of meteorite parent bodies.
