SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY:
NAS Elects New Members

The National Academy of Sciences last week announced the election of 60 new members--eight women and 52 men--and 15 foreign associates. The election brings the total number of current active members to 1798 and the number of foreign associates to 310.
