ISO Peers Into the Cool Corners of the Universe

KYOTO, JAPAN--At last month's 23rd General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union, astronomers heard about the latest findings from the European Space Agency's Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) in a special full-day session. ISO researchers described how the observatory is providing new insight into the birthrate of stars, how many brown dwarfs there are in the universe, and how supernovae produce the ingredients of future worlds.
