U.S. SCIENCE POLICY:
House Study Tackles New Era in R&D
Andrew Lawler
Representative Vern Ehlers (RMI) intends to tap into both his previous life as a physicist and his current position as vice chair of the House Science Committee for a yearlong study of U.S. support for science. The study, requested by the House Republican leadership, is aimed at developing a new policy that will serve the community and be acceptable to both Congress and the White House.
