Is Warming Trend Harming Penguins?

At a seminar on Capitol Hill held by the U.S. Global Change Research Program last week, researchers suggested that the observed warming of the western Antarctic peninsula may be taking a toll on Adélie penguins. As the climate warms, early-spring snowfall seems to be increasing, making it harder for the birds to find snow-free spots for nesting.
