From Clouds to Cores at the Spring Geophysics-Fest

BALTIMORE--Geophysicists who gathered here for the spring meeting of the American Geophysical Union late last month heard talks that spanned the solar system. Researchers explored the effects of jet contrails in Earth's atmosphere, which may be helping to warm the world, and also probed the diverse conditions found on the moons of Jupiter, from the hot interiors of Io, Ganymede, and Europa, to the deadly chill of Callisto.
