Speedy Planets Near Galactic Center Show Sun's Region Is No Fluke

The planet orbiting the dwarf star SWEEPS-10 takes only 10 hours and 11 minutes to complete one revolution, smashing the record for shortest-period planet and--along with 15 other new exoplanets discovered by the Hubble Space Telescope--giving astronomers the first evidence that extrasolar planets are just as abundant in the center of the Milky Way galaxy as they are in the neighborhood of our sun.
