Gene Sequence Study Takes a Stab at Personalized Medicine

COLD SPRING HARBOR, NEW YORK--At the Biology of Genomes meeting here last week, it was announced that the National Human Genome Research Institute will launch a pilot study in which researchers will sequence a portion of DNA from 400 seemingly healthy volunteers and try to discern each person's unique genetic risk factors for disease.
