Forging a Global Network to Watch the Planet

CAMBRIDGE, U.K.--Proponents of a global earth-monitoring network met in Brussels last week to launch a 10-year program to turn gauges, sensors, buoys, weather stations, and satellites that monitor Earth's surface, atmosphere, and oceans into a unified whole.
