Did Jupiter and Saturn Team Up to Pummel the Inner Solar System?

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY--About 700 solar system researchers met here 8 to 12 November at the annual meeting of the Division for Planetary Sciences. Planetary dynamicists showed how Jupiter and Saturn could have joined forces to fling debris toward Earth from a reservoir in the outer reaches of the solar system.
