Whitman Leaves Science Legacy at EPA

When Christine Todd Whitman resigned as administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) last week, she faced yet another barrage of criticism. Environmental groups said that under her tenure, the agency had caved in to industry interests and weakened environmental laws and regulations. Whitman tends to receive higher marks for EPA science under her tenure, however.
