Hong Kong to Beef Up Monitoring

TOKYO--Thanks to a $64 million gift from the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the government of Hong Kong is setting up an institution with the necessary resources to monitor and respond aggressively to the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus and other infectious agents.
