ENERGY:
Britain to Cut CO2 Without Relying on Nuclear Power

CAMBRIDGE, U.K.--The U.K. government announced this week that it wants to up the ante on reducing carbon emissions over the next half-century, without building any new nuclear power stations. Lauded by environmentalists as "a crucial landmark," the Energy White Paper is nonetheless taking heavy flak from energy experts.
