MONTE CARLO, MONACO--A group of rebel radioecologists contends that efforts to protect humans from radioactive contamination have short-changed the environment. But some experts are balking at their calls for a radical new approach that would protect nonhuman species as well. More contentious still are the potential implications of the approach for the regulation of dumping radioactive waste in the sea.
