In reviewing MacVector from Oxford Molecular Group, Inc., Rajagopal describes this sequence analysis software program for Macintosh or PowerPC computers as outstanding and easy to use. The application can be used to create contig sequences, to design primers for sequencing or polymerase chain reaction, or to choose probes for library screening. The recently released update (MacVector 6.5) has improved graphics and quickly analyzes user-designed primers for potential success.
