MEETING ASTROPHYSICS:
Enhanced: Protostars and Planets

Sara S. Russell and Alan P. Boss

The characteristics and origins of these planetary bodies are the subject of intense interest and debate. In their Perspective, Russell and Boss discuss the latest results on extrasolar planetary systems presented at a recent conference in Santa Barbara.
