La Jolla, California--After a long search, the Salk Institute for Biological Studies has appointed a new president and chief executive officer: Thomas Pollard, a cell biologist from Johns Hopkins University. Pollard, who specializes in the molecular basis of cell movement, will take over on 1 July.
