Single crystals of magnetite were prepared for study of the magnetic domain structure by etching in a molten mixture of boron oxide and lead oxide. The domain pattern on a (110) surface shows 71°, 109°, and 180° Bloch walls. The intensity of remanent magnetization is much less than the saturation value.
