Fluoroacetate Inhibition of Amino Acids during Photosynthesis of Chlamydomonas reinhardti

Fluoroacetate inhibited respiration in Chlamydomonas reinhardti and greatly decreased the photosynthetic incorporation of C14O2 into glutamate and aspartate. This suggests that the Krebs cycle is important in the light-mediated synthesis of glutamate and aspartate in this alga.
