Movie S1
Time-lapse analysis of process formation induced by overexpression of protrudin. HeLa cells were transfected with an expression plasmid for EGFP-tagged protrudin, and EGFP fluorescence was monitored by video microscopy. Images of cells obtained from 12 to 30 hours after transfection were recorded at intervals of 5 min.

Movie S2
Time-lapse analysis of cells expressing ectopic protrudin and Rab11(Q70L). HeLa cells were transfected with expression plasmids for EGFP-tagged protrudin and DsRed-tagged Rab11(Q70L), and EGFP fluorescence and DIC images were recorded by video microscopy.
