  • Movie S1
Periodic translocation of GFP tagged PH domains of CRAC (upper panel) and GRP1 (lower panel) in streams of aggregating Dictyostelium cells. Waves of cAMP propagate from right to left, resulting in the chemotactic movement of the cells from left to right. Every time a cAMP wave passes, PIP3 is produced at the leading edges of the cells resulting in CRAC and GRP1 translocation. Localized PIP3 production is required for localized actin polymerization and cell movement.
  • Movie S2
Translocation of GFP tagged statA in aggregation competent Dictyostelium cells stimulated with cAMP. The counter in the lower right hand corner indicates seconds elapsed since the addition of 10-6 M cAMP.
  • Movie S3
Dynamics of actin cytoskeleton of a cell in a Dictyostelium slug moving to the left. The images are confocal sections taken at the cell-substrate interface; the cell is shown in the top half of Fig. 3. The actin cytoskeleton is visualized by binding of GFP-tagged ABD120. Successive images are colored red, green, and blue. Stationary actin filaments appear white. Notice the fast dynamics of small contact.
  • Movie S4
Cell shown in the lower half of Fig. 3. Conditions are as described in for Movie S3.
