Supplemental Figure 1. Representative step-heat plateaus and isochrons. For each sample, the steps used to compute a plateau age are shown in red. The K/Ca ratio is plotted in blue in the 8000 to 1000 Ma range in each plateau plot. In the isochrons, each heating step is shown as its power (A) and the associated error bars. The red line is a least-squares fit to the data. In cases with obvious outlying steps (e.g., MAC F, step 13A), these data were not included in the fit line. Not all samples with good plateaus had good isochrons, but in all good isochrons, the initial 40Ar/36Ar ratio is <0.4
