A searchable PDF file of all consensus MrBayes phylogenetic trees for the 76 candidate LGT genes described in Table S3 can be found here. Support values corresponding to the posterior probabilities of the Bayesian analysis are followed by the corresponding bootstrap support value of the equivalent maximum likelihood distance bootstrap analysis. T. vaginalis sequences used for the blast search are indicated by abbreviated identifiers next to a black box. A star indicates that the bootstrap consensus tree did not recover the given split found in the Bayesian analysis. T. vaginalis paralogs, when present/included, are indicated with "Trichomonas vaginalis". Eukaryotic sequences are boxed to ease reading of the trees and identification of candidate LGT events. The scale bars indicate the number of inferred changes per site.
