| Supplemental Table 1. Radiocarbon and gray scale data for Cariaco Basin piston cores. The radiocarbon ages are conventional AMS 14C dates (yr BP) on the planktonic foraminifer Globigerina bulloides from core PL07-58PC. Radiocarbon ages have been reservoir-corrected by subtracting 420 years from each date. Calendar ages (yr BP) are from a revised varve chronology for core PL07-58PC. Calendar and radiocarbon age uncertainties are reported at 1 sigma. Radiocarbon concentration (D14C) is reported in permil (‰) both as absolute values and as variations from a linear detrend. D14C uncertainty is reported at 1 sigma, both as a minimum value calculated using only 14C age uncertainty, and as a maximum value by including calendar age uncertainty in the calculation. Gray scale values measure reflectivity for core PL07-56PC, on a scale from 0 (white) to 255 (black). The gray scale age model is calendar age (yr BP) based on the 58PC revised varve chronology during the deglacial period, and calibrated 14C dates during the Holocene. |
