Plasmodium Chloroquine Resistance and the Search for a Replacement Antimalarial Drug

Genetic and biochemical research is providing new
information on the mechanism of chloroquine resistance. Drug discovery
initiatives are finding new leads that have favorable pharmaceutical
properties and efficacy against chloroquine-resistant malaria.
