In Marjorie Sun's article "South Carolina blocks test of rabies vaccine" (News & Comment, 30 June, p. 1535), the person identified as Jarrett is Michael Jarrett, State Commissioner of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. The person identified as Brown is John Brown, toxicologist and chairman of the ad hoc biotechnology committee of the South Carolina state health department.
