Glucodynamic Hormones Modify the Recovery Period after Lateral Hypothalamic Lesions

The period of recovery after bilateral electrolytic lesions of the lateral hypothalamus in rats is shortened if insulin is given for 5 days before surgery, and is lengthened if glucagon is given during the preoperative period.
