In "Mitochondrial RNA synthesis during mitosis" by H. Fan and S. Penman (3 April, p. 135), the first sentence of paragraph 4, column 1, page 137, should read "The nuclei of cells which were incubated for 2 hours with [3H]uridine in the presence of a concentration of actinomycin D (18) which selectively suppresses ribosomal RNA synthesis are shown in Fig. 1b (17, 19)."
