Potassium bouis Asymmetrically Activate Erthrocyte Membrane Phosphatase

In Reconstituted ghosts of human red cells, the cell membrane phosphatase is activated by external, but not by internal, potassium. This finding is consistent with the possible participation of the membrane system responsible for cation transport.
