Gas-Flow Counting of Carbon-14 Compounds: An Improved Technique

Harold J. Perkins 1 and M. D. MacDonald 1

1 Canada Agriculture Research Station, Lethbridge, Alberta

Reproducibility in counting by a gas-flow detector of duplicate samples of C14-labeled compounds plated on glass planchets is much improved by spraying of the lower surface of the planchet with an "antistatic" agent in aerosol form.
