Requesting Permission
Permission is required before reproducing any content (text, photos, tables, figures) from:
- Science (print version)
- Science (online version)
- ScienceNOW
- AIDScience

- Science Careers (including content from Science's Next Wave)
- Science Signaling/STKE
- Science Express
- SAGE KE
|
To request permission, please send us a request via fax, mail, or e-mail with the following information:
- Your name, institute, and title
- Your complete mailing address, phone number, and fax number
Identify the content you wish to use:
- Science publication (Science, print version; Science, online version; ScienceNOW; Science Careers, including content from Science's Next Wave; Science Signaling (or STKE); Science Express; AIDScience; or SAGE KE)
- Article title
- Authors' names
- Volume number, issue date, page numbers, article URL (provide all that apply)
- Specific figure numbers or portion of text (or supply a photocopy)
Include the following information about your intended use:
- Title of book/journal in which Science material will appear
- Title of article/chapter
- Author(s)/editor(s)
- Expected publication date (or volume and issue number for journals)
- Publishing company
- Retail price (for books only)
- Print run (for books only)
- Intended audience for the book/journal
If you wish to reprint the material on the World Wide Web (in cases where content is available online, we may grant linking privileges rather than republication rights), please also include the following:
- Your website's URL
- Website's sponsoring organization/company
- Whether the sponsor is a for-profit or nonprofit organization
- Description of the purpose and nature of your website
- Description of the website's visitors (customers, scholars, professors, etc.)
- Whether the site is password protected
If you wish to reproduce the material for purposes other than those described above, please write a description of your project, including the title of your project, the number of copies to be made, the format (e.g., print copies, PowerPoint presentation, poster, media kit, etc.), targeted recipients, expected distribution date, and proposed selling price.
